Ziplining this past weekend was a blast. We had a big group with some friends who came along... always a party. I love feeling so free flying above the trees, again this place is breathtaking. The weekend was filled with many other adventures - we discovered a local market and bought some clothes for the cheapest prices I've seen yet, ate the best food at Pii Tii's "Ginny's Cafe" (mango shakes at least twice a day, not ashamed), also found the best sandwich place (I salivate just thinking about it), and of course it wouldn't be the usual weekend without a massage.
Since our VISA's expire any day now we are taking a trip out of the country to get them renewed. Tomorrow we are heading out to Laos, to float on a boat down the Mekong River, then explore Luang Prabang until Sunday (Seriously, is this real life??) So that is how I will be celebrating America's Independence Day (favorite holiday!) and I don't think that it can get much more adventurous than that - or more like, random but awesome. Of course I miss my usual beach trip back home, but I know this Laos trip is a once in a lifetime experience that I will never forget.
I'm desperately looking forward to relaxing, reading, and umm eating baugettes (thanks France, for colonizing Laos.....)
Have a great 4th of July!
